Te Wiki o te Reo Maori

This week is Te Wiki o te Reo Maori, Maori Language Week. For Reading, we read a story called Mossie. It was about a boy who came from Australia. He played rugby and all the commands were in Maori - he could understand them because he could speak Maori. His family were originally from New Zealand.

Our task was to create a book using Book Creator and make a Maori translation book. My book is about every day words we use in our lives. I enjoyed this task because there was lots to do and I had lots of choices. It was a bit tricky pronouncing the Maori words but Mrs Naden helped me.

August Student Reflection Newsletter

This is our August Reflection. Every month we reflect on our learning. I found it easy to fill out the Google Drawing because I had most of what I wanted to write already in my head. I found it hard to choose three trivia questions because I lots to choose from because we have been learning a lot about endangered and extinct creatures.

Have you ever done a Reflection Newsletter?

Sacrament Word Wall

In R.E we are learning about the Sacraments.

We found some words that we didn't know some of the words I didn't were ciborium, concentration, Grace, Hakarameta and Katorika.

Our task was to work with a buddy,  put them in alphabetical order and then to find the definition we put the definition in our own words.

Then we had to present it using a new Google to that we learnt this year. My buddy and I chose to turn into a GIF using tall tweets.

I enjoyed blinging it because the role of fonts and colours to choose from.

I found it hard to find some of the definitions.
